Farne Islands - diving with seals

October 11th-13th 2024 Price to be announced. £100 deposit to secure a place. Kit hire extra.

Nothing can beat close interaction with large marine mammals on their terms. Farne Island seals are noted for their friendly curiosity and hold no fear of divers. Prepare to have your fins and other extremities play nibbled. This is a trip that will hold memories for ever! Check out our videos and see for yourself.

Our trip includes four boat dives off William Shiels `Glad Tidings`, a large well equipped dive boat with a diver lift and WC, easy life! Two nights accommodation in Beach House Hotel, (to be confirmed) overlooking the seafront and  situated conveniently just 10 minutes walk away from the pubs and restaurants of downtown Seahouses, and the harbour where we board the boat. The breakfast sets us all up for a full day of seal action.

Diving is suitable for all abilities, seals are air breathers and usually found in the shallows, so no need to go deep if you don`t want to. Equipment hire is available from us as needed. Dry Suit is recommended/required. Usual UK conditions will be encountered, so there may be current and variable visability. Unsure? Why not add a Discover Local Diving experience onto the trip, have a pro by your side?.

DSMB use is required as a safety measure as all dives are on a drift basis so please ask if you need assistance with using a DSMB, we can offer full training for DSMB and Dry Suit before the trip, contact us for advice.

This is always our most popular trip,  last trip had 24 divers and some family joining for the social fun. William is reporting record numbers of seal pups again so encounters are more or less definite.  And there have been sightings of pods of dolphins nearby. This trip is always our most popular UK trip, who wouldn`t want to play with the seals?  Don`t delay if you would like to join us. As  always a £100 deposit is all that is needed to ensure your place on the trip.
